Pretty Little Liars is a young adult novel series by Sara Shepard and TV series on ABC Family! The first novel, Pretty Little Liars, was released in October 2006. The television series based on the novels premiered on ABC Family on June 8, 2010 and stars Lucy Hale as Aria Montgomery, Ashley Benson as Hanna Marin, Troian Bellisario as Spencer Hastings, Shay Mitchell as Emily Fields, and Sasha Pieterse as Alison DiLaurentis.
